Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale technology programmes for an international organisation based in Bolton. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery, supporting digital transformation across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex digital and IT programmes from concept to implementation.
• Own project governance, reporting and executive‑level stakeholder engagement.
• Chair steering committees and provide clear visibility of progress, risks and performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource forecasts and delivery roadmaps.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies and budgets to keep programmes on track.
• Partner with third‑party suppliers to ensure exceptional delivery and value.
• Drive business readiness, user adoption and transition into operational teams.
• Mentor Project Managers and champion best practice across the PMO.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering complex digital or technology projects.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent certification.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, RAID management and executive reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management with confidence to influence senior leadership.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams and third‑party suppliers.
• Background in digital transformation, cloud, infrastructure or enterprise applications.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
