Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a fast‑growing technology consultancy in Edinburgh. The role involves owning complex client engagements, guiding technical teams, and delivering software projects with confidence and structure.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from early client engagement and scope definition through to delivery and closure.
• Lead software delivery projects using agile principles.
• Act as the bridge between clients and technical teams, ensuring clear understanding of scope, timelines, deliverables, risks and expectations.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across varied customer environments.
• Produce project plans, progress reports, requirements documentation, proposals and stakeholder presentations.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Help mature and improve delivery ways of working, sharing best practice and supporting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering software development projects across the full lifecycle.
• Confidence managing complex customer and stakeholder relationships in a client‑facing environment.
• Experience handling multiple concurrent projects or delivery workstreams.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance client needs, delivery priorities, budgets and risks.
• Familiarity with public sector or education environments is beneficial.
• Prior consultancy experience highly desirable; exposure to security or IAM projects is a plus.
