Senior Property Lawyer

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Property Lawyer to join their Hastings office on a hybrid basis. You will manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, registration and file closure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day conveyancing transactions, ensuring due diligence at every stage.
• Use the OMS system to progress cases within set timescales.
• Coordinate with other lawyers and handle all legal aspects of property transactions.
• Assess risk on each deal and provide pragmatic legal advice.
• Draft standard precedent letters, contract packs, exchange letters, freehold AP1s and other correspondence.
• Prepare and submit Land Registry applications, SDLT returns and manage post‑completion tasks such as file closures and ledger checks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant property law experience.
• Strong organisational, planning and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
