Senior Pursuits Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Senior Pursuits Manager to join a leading law firm in Edinburgh. You will drive winning strategies, shape high‑value opportunities and influence business growth from early capture through to successful submission.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic, high‑profile pursuits and complex tender opportunities.
• Identify and shape opportunities early to maximise win potential.
• Develop compelling win themes, capture plans and pursuit strategies.
• Drive bid activity from qualification through to submission and presentations.
• Produce persuasive, high‑scoring proposal content.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, strategy sessions and pursuit planning.
• Challenge and influence senior leaders to strengthen competitive positioning.
• Coach teams for client presentations, pitches and interviews.
• Use insight, competitor intelligence and lessons learned to improve future success rates.
• Champion innovation, best practice and continuous improvement across the pursuit process.

Required profile

• Strong experience in bids, pursuits, capture management or business development.
• Proven track record of winning complex, competitive opportunities.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling ability.
• Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Confidence working with senior leaders and subject‑matter experts.
• High energy, resilience and genuine passion for winning work.
