Senior Python Developer – Up to £140k

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to own the architecture, performance and overall quality of a fast‑growing Data Intelligence Platform backend that serves more than 300 clients. You will work closely with a high‑ownership team to build reliable, scalable services that deliver real value to users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain core backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Own the end‑to‑end performance and reliability of APIs serving hundreds of clients.
• Develop, test and ship API endpoints in a cloud‑native environment.
• Collaborate with the team on database schema design and optimisation for PostgreSQL.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure setup and best practices, primarily on AWS.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote high‑quality code standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial experience developing Python applications.
• Strong track record of building and shipping production‑grade APIs.
• Deep interest in databases and solid experience with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Based in the United Kingdom and able to work onsite in Central London.
