Senior Python Quant Developer – Systematic Trading (London)

About the role

This position is with a leading investment firm that runs systematic, computer‑driven trading strategies across equities, futures and FX. As a Senior Python Quant Developer you will create and maintain components for live trading and simulation within a dedicated trading pod.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop research and live‑trading infrastructure for futures and foreign‑exchange markets.
• Build and optimise Python‑based components used in production trading systems.
• Integrate and manage connections to execution and order‑management platforms.
• Work with large data sets, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of experience building trading or research infrastructure at a financial institution.
• Proven experience with futures and FX markets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, high‑performing team.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Required skills

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proficiency with SQL and database design.
• Experience handling large data sets.
• Knowledge of execution and order‑management system integration.
