Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established family‑run contractor delivering prime central London refurbishment and restoration projects. The role involves full commercial management of high‑value schemes, from tender through to final account, supporting both private and public sector work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of projects from tender to final account.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts and monthly CVRs.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Value works, submit client applications and assess variations.
• Negotiate and agree subcontractor accounts.
• Administer contracts, manage risk and monitor cash flow.
• Produce accurate commercial reports for senior management.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, consultants and supply‑chain partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on refurbishment or listed‑building projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage budgets and profitability.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a family‑run environment.
