Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will own the commercial management of a high‑volume portfolio of fire and security installation projects. The focus is on post‑award activities such as contract administration, cost control and final account settlement, ensuring profitability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review contract terms, identify commercial risks and obligations.
• Set up commercial arrangements after contract award.
• Place and manage subcontractor and supplier orders.
• Monitor project costs, profitability and cash flow.
• Manage variations and recover additional works promptly.
• Produce monthly commercial reports and forecasts.
• Support debt recovery and reduce work‑in‑progress exposure.
• Prepare and agree final accounts.
• Collaborate with operational teams to maximise commercial performance.
• Maintain robust commercial governance and compliance.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced setting and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
