Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of a flagship development in West Central London. You will be responsible for delivering cost‑effective solutions on a high‑profile scheme while working closely with an established senior team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full commercial responsibility for allocated packages from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare, negotiate and agree subcontract orders, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Produce cost reports, CVRs and cash‑flow forecasts to protect project margins.
• Support and mentor Assistant and Intermediate Quantity Surveyors.
• Collaborate with the project delivery team to identify value‑adding opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a UK main contractor or Tier‑1/2/3 subcontractor.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (MRICS desirable but not essential).
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver on time and budget.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
