Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client in the construction and property sector across Scotland. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work from either the Glasgow or Edinburgh office, and offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary and performance‑based bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Lead the preparation of cost plans and tender documentation at all levels.
• Oversee post‑contract cost management and act as the Employer’s Agent or Contract Administrator.
• Mentor junior staff and support their professional development.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to exceed expectations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and clients.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline; chartered status preferred but not essential.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong experience producing cost plans and tender documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in Professional Quantity Surveying is advantageous.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
