Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Watkin Jones is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Refresh division, which focuses on refurbishment and building improvement projects. You will be involved in the commercial side of projects from early cost estimation through to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare early‑stage cost estimates and budgets for refurbishment and building improvement works.
• Manage the commercial aspects of projects throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Work on a variety of scopes, including building envelope, fire compartmentation, and full‑room refurbishments.
• Collaborate with project teams, line managers and senior leads, providing regular updates.
• Attend site and office visits as required to support project delivery.

Required profile

• Formal education and hands‑on experience in quantity surveying.
• Proactive approach to professional development and a solid understanding of the construction industry.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
• Experience on new‑build projects is desirable; experience on reclad or refurbishment projects is advantageous.
