Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are supporting a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Glasgow to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This permanent position offers the chance to manage the full cost lifecycle of high‑profile projects from feasibility through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑ and post‑contract quantity surveying services across a varied project portfolio.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets and feasibility studies.
• Manage procurement exercises, tender documentation and tender analysis.
• Produce cost reports, valuations and payment recommendations while maintaining financial control.
• Lead value engineering, risk management and change‑control processes.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Mentor junior surveyors and support their professional development.
• Contribute to business development and secure new opportunities.

Required profile

• MRICS Chartered status.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Approximately five years post‑qualification experience within a consultancy.
• Strong pre‑ and post‑contract surveying experience across multiple sectors.
• Excellent client‑facing, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
