Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will act as a trusted commercial advisor on complex client projects, providing strategic insight and leading contract and commercial management. You will work closely with delivery teams, contractors and subcontractors to keep projects on track and deliver value.

Key responsibilities

• Embed within delivery teams on‑site, taking ownership of contractual performance, commercial control and risk management.
• Identify smarter ways of working, drive process improvements and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve challenges and unlock opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Engineering (HNC/HND accepted).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for business travel.
• Client‑focused, commercially astute and able to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Experience mentoring and supervising others in a commercial team.
• Professional membership (or working towards) with RICS, CIPS or ICE preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Forecasting and Cost Value Reconciliation reporting.
• Financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and contract strategies.
