Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Infrastructure (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction and infrastructure firm on a landmark transportation project in North West London. The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days on‑site, and offers the chance to manage complex M&E, fire, communications and infrastructure packages.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pre‑ and post‑contract commercial activities for multiple work packages.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and contractual communications.
• Value subcontractor accounts and prepare cost reports, forecasts and financial performance updates.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks, supporting procurement and subcontract negotiations.
• Produce and present commercial reports to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and contractual documentation.
• Collaborate closely with design, delivery and construction teams to optimise commercial performance.
• Mentor junior commercial team members as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main‑contracting environment.
• Background in infrastructure, heavy civil engineering, rail, utilities, energy or similar large‑scale projects.
• Strong NEC3 or NEC4 contract administration experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage compensation events, change control and commercial risk.
• Excellent commercial, contractual and negotiation capabilities.
• Robust reporting and forecasting skills.
• Relevant degree qualification.
