Senior React Developer - SC Cleared

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior React Developer to join a growing engineering team delivering secure, user‑focused digital services for high‑profile public sector programmes. The role is based in Leeds on a hybrid basis with occasional travel to customer sites, working on modern cloud‑based applications in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build reusable components and scalable front‑end architectures.
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and micro‑services.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and adopt modern development practices.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to deliver secure digital solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG) and government digital standards.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience delivering enterprise‑scale React applications.
• Proficiency with React.js, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with state‑management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Active SC security clearance (sponsorship not available).
