Senior Recovery Handler

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Recovery Handler to join a leading specialist insurance claims funding partner for the bodyshop industry. Based in Warrington with hybrid working after probation, you will manage recovery cases that directly impact the company’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of recovery cases from initiation to resolution.
• Investigate payment delays, identify root causes and drive swift settlements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, customers and internal teams.
• Manage complex cases using sound judgement, escalating only when necessary.
• Prioritise workload to meet agreed timescales and ensure accurate actions.
• Analyse recovery data and trends to propose improvements and reduce future delays.
• Demonstrate resilience while pursuing outstanding payments and support the wider team as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recoveries, collections, insurance or a similar field.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to take ownership of challenging situations.
• Independent worker who can manage competing priorities.
• Highly organised, results‑driven and detail‑oriented with a continuous‑improvement attitude.
