Senior Relationship Manager – Intermediary (London)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Relationship Manager (Intermediary) to lead growth across our Commercial and SME portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Islamic Banking & Intermediary Business, you will expand intermediary partnerships, manage a corporate credit portfolio and ensure high standards of risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships with commercial clients from SME to corporate, generating new business through intermediaries.
• Drive revenue, asset growth and cross‑selling of commercial, FI and private banking products.
• Manage a diverse corporate credit portfolio, preparing credit proposals and analysing balance sheets, income statements and cash flows.
• Monitor account performance, credit utilisation, payment behaviour and portfolio health.
• Identify early warning signals, escalate risks and coordinate recovery actions when required.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Relationship Managers and line‑manage junior support staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in relationship management with commercial, SME and corporate clients.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain intermediary partnerships.
• Leadership experience, including coaching and performance management of junior staff.
