Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician – Edgware

About the role

Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team ensures that the equipment used in fulfilment centres operates at the highest standard. As a Senior RME Technician you will lead a shift‑based team, monitor equipment health, and drive continuous improvement across the EU network.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate and enforce best‑practice safety procedures while monitoring teams for compliance.
• Perform visual checks, condition‑based monitoring and preventative maintenance, scheduling additional servicing as needed.
• Supervise shift technicians, act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers, and support their development.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimise downtime and keep package processing on schedule.
• Identify and implement process improvements and standardise procedures across the EU network.
• Monitor equipment performance using tools such as SCADA and assist with administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• NVQ Level 3 / SVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
• Completion of a full engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in industrial maintenance or reliability engineering.
