Senior Research Scientist

About the role

DeepHealth is looking for a Senior Research Scientist to join its ML Capabilities team. The role focuses on advancing machine‑learning research for medical imaging, especially foundation models in radiology AI, and translating research into clinically relevant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the scientific roadmap for foundation models in medical imaging.
• Design and prototype novel model architectures for multimodal medical imaging data.
• Develop experimental systems to validate research hypotheses and benchmark against clinical tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to turn research advances into deployable solutions.
• Lead scientific publications, conference contributions and engage with external partners such as Imperial College London.

Required profile

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong publication record at top ML venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
• Expertise in deep learning and generative models.
• Experience designing and evaluating machine‑learning systems.
• Preferred: experience in medical imaging or healthcare AI, familiarity with multimodal learning, and experience mentoring research projects.
