Senior Residential Carer (Bank)

About the role

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer you will look after the diverse needs of residents in a Barchester care home, delivering quality, person‑centred care and support. You will lead a team of care staff, ensure medication is administered safely, and maintain up‑to‑date care plans and risk assessments while respecting each resident’s dignity and preferences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff, including training, delegating duties and conducting supervisions.
• Administer and order medication, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Review, update and maintain resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and families to coordinate care.
• Promote a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment for all residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting.
• Proven team‑leadership skills and ability to make appropriate care decisions.
• Commitment to delivering individualized, compassionate care.
