Senior Residential Children's Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Children’s Support Worker to join a small, 4‑bed home in Erith. You will provide person‑centred care for two young people aged 16 and 17 with complex learning disabilities, helping them achieve independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
• Support daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education and independence skills.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.
• Collaborate with families, social workers, educators and healthcare professionals.
• Promote high standards of care and a safe, structured environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential childcare.
• Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
• Experience with learning disabilities, EBD, SEMH or complex needs.
• NVQ Level 3/4 (or 50% completed) in Residential Childcare.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Salary £31,300‑£34,000 per year (£15.05‑£16.35 per hour) plus £65 per sleep‑in shift.
