Senior Residential Conveyancer – Banbury

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Residential Conveyancer to join our growing Property Department in Banbury. The successful candidate will manage a high‑quality residential conveyancing portfolio while supporting the Head of Department in leading a multi‑office team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.
• Handle sales, purchases, leasehold, shared ownership, transfers of equity, remortgages and new‑build matters.
• Support and mentor junior fee‑earners and administrative staff.
• Assist with compliance, AML, Lexcel and CQS procedures.
• Drive departmental growth through networking and business development initiatives.
• Help improve team performance, billing and client‑service standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ PQE as a Solicitor, CILEX member or Licensed Conveyancer.
• Strong technical residential conveyancing experience and ability to manage complex files independently.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience preferred.
• Commercially aware with excellent client‑care skills.
• Good understanding of AML, SRA and conveyancing compliance requirements.
