Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home

About the role
This senior role supports the delivery of high‑quality residential care for children and young people in a newly established children’s home in Swindon. Working closely with the Responsible Individual, Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will help shape a trauma‑informed, person‑centred environment from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day care and support for children and young people residing in the home.
- Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and mentorship to the care team.
- Ensure the home meets Ofsted Quality standards and delivers nurturing, high‑quality care.
- Promote a culture where children’s voices influence all decisions.
- Support learning, personal growth and a stable home environment.
- Assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with visible, confident leadership.
Required profile
- Experience working with children, young people and families.
- Strong understanding of contextual safeguarding.
- Good knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing rota and child‑care needs.
- Relevant qualification in residential childcare and commitment to ongoing development.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
