Senior Resource Manager

About the role

Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, is looking for a Senior Resource Manager in Manchester. The role oversees Clio Operate's resource demand, scale and utilisation across EMEA, NAMER and APAC, covering internal and partner services teams. It ensures optimal staffing for the sales pipeline, partner pipeline, Customer Success initiatives and the Service Desk, and manages resource supply and demand through monitoring, forward planning and capability development.

Key responsibilities

• Review the demand view weekly with Professional Services leadership, sales and Customer Success, and assign the right people with the right skills to projects
• Resolve scheduling bottlenecks and negotiate priorities between project managers
• Monitor utilisation of internal, partner and contractor staff and move capacity to the right opportunities
• Forecast staffing needs and plan resource supply in advance
• Define regional role requirements with capability leads and approve hiring demand
• Work with partners and contractors on resource augmentation, and coordinate training with the Training Manager
• Maintain competency frameworks, run regular skill gap analyses and track training progression
• Ensure internal hires arrive on time and have learning pathways planned
• Track billable and non-billable hours, resource usage and project status, and report to senior management

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in project management, resource planning or consulting within a large, complex Professional Services organisation
• Strategic thinking to align team capacity with long-term business goals
• Analytical skills for forecasting and optimisation
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
