Senior Ruby Engineer (Remote, Europe)

About the role

Reedsy is looking for a senior Ruby engineer to help build and scale its suite of publishing tools for authors across Europe. You will work remotely, collaborating with designers and engineers to deliver new features from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop highly scalable web applications.
• Work closely with designers and engineers to design, build, and ship new features from scratch.
• Evaluate and improve the performance, durability, and security of applications in production.
• Take ownership of tasks and see features through from start to finish.
• Build RESTful APIs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production‑level Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience with SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis) databases.
• Proficiency in unit testing with RSpec and QA testing tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Git.
• Strong emphasis on object‑oriented design and design patterns.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working remotely.
