Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a cutting‑edge technology team in Brighton. You will design, develop and maintain advanced web services and applications using the Ruby on Rails framework, working closely with mobile developers and QA engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails web services and applications.
• Collaborate with mobile developers and QA engineers to ensure smooth integration and high quality.
• Consume and integrate RESTful APIs to connect front‑end applications with back‑end services.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Use Git for version control, code reviews and branching strategies.
• Apply DevOps practices to streamline the development workflow.
• Create and maintain comprehensive development documentation.
• Ensure code quality, security and scalability through testing and best‑practice adherence.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Ruby on Rails developer.
• Proven experience interacting with RESTful APIs and relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with stakeholders.
