Senior Sales Executive (Technical Gases)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive to join a specialist supplier in the gases sector. Based in Medway, you will work Monday to Friday, combining field visits with strategic account management and a clear pathway towards senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business through cold calling, networking and regular customer visits (approximately three days per week).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing technical sales advice and tailored solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and manage opportunities through to successful completion.
• Mentor a Junior Sales Executive, sharing knowledge and supporting their development.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity and system updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical sales role within specialist gases or a closely related industry.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow existing accounts.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, commercially aware and capable of working independently.

• Experience delivering technical sales advice and solutions.
