Senior Scenic Project Manager - event production

About the role

As a Senior Scenic Project Manager you will lead the delivery of complex scenic and staging projects from concept through to installation. You will collaborate with clients, designers, workshop teams and technical departments to ensure each project meets safety, quality, time and budget expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple scenic production projects from brief to completion.
• Develop creative, practical solutions and produce technical construction drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Prepare quotations, budgets and comprehensive project documentation.
• Coordinate workshop, warehouse and technical teams to deliver projects efficiently.
• Produce build schedules, construction documentation and oversee logistics, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Lead onsite installations, venue transformations and ensure safe delivery.
• Monitor performance, mentor team members and adapt to changing requirements.

Required profile

• 6+ years’ experience in scenic project management within live events, exhibitions or entertainment.
• Strong knowledge of scenic construction methods, materials and finishes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable CAD tools.
• Experience preparing quotations, budgets and detailed documentation.
• Excellent organisational, commercial and client‑relationship skills.
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle access is advantageous but not essential.
