Senior Service Coordinator – Specialist Housing & Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Coordinator to lead a specialist housing and support service for adults facing homelessness, mental health challenges and other complex needs. This temporary position (2‑3 months) offers the chance to supervise staff, manage a small caseload and ensure high‑quality, recovery‑focused support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, supervision and coaching to a team of Housing Support Workers.
• Deliver psychologically informed, strengths‑based support to individuals with complex needs.
• Lead case reviews, reflective practice sessions and team meetings.
• Manage a small caseload, completing assessments, risk plans and outcome‑focused support plans.
• Monitor service delivery against performance targets and contractual outcomes.
• Collaborate with local authorities, healthcare professionals, housing providers and community organisations.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and performance data.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and provide flexible cover as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting adults with complex needs such as mental health issues, homelessness, substance misuse or offending histories.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners.
• Commitment to person‑centred, recovery‑focused practice.

Required skills
