Senior Sheet Metal Team Leader – £45k‑£50k

About the role

We are recruiting for a well‑established manufacturing business in Southall to join their production team as a Senior Sheet Metal Team Leader. You will combine hands‑on sheet‑metal fabrication with leadership, ensuring high‑quality output while mentoring workshop staff.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate EuroMac punching, Pierceall, guillotine and press‑brake machines.
• Manufacture sheet‑metal boxes, panels and fabricated components to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, calculate bend allowances and machine settings.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure products meet specifications.
• Lead, mentor and support workshop staff to maintain productivity.
• Assist with workload planning and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Promote a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on sheet‑metal fabrication experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
