Senior Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the delivery of a £15 million care home project in Bursledon, Hampshire. You will oversee the site from construction start through to handover, ensuring safety, quality and schedule are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, materials and logistics.
• Maintain health and safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Control project budget, monitor progress against programme and report to senior management.
• Drive quality assurance processes and resolve on‑site issues promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager on large‑scale developments.
• Background in the construction trade, preferably carpentry.
• Experience delivering care homes is desirable; hotels, hospitals or student accommodation also relevant.
• SMSTS qualification (or equivalent).

Required skills

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
• Carpentry or construction trade expertise.
• Health and safety management.
