Senior Software Engineer – Automotive Safety Systems

About the role

Robert Bosch LLC is looking for senior software engineers to develop innovative software for critical airbag safety systems. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with global cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability, safety, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement software solutions for airbag safety systems.
• Architect and design a scalable, high‑performance customer library.
• Analyze and refine software requirements to meet project objectives.
• Make critical technical decisions affecting system architecture and design.
• Provide technical guidance and serve as the primary internal contact for software queries.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure successful project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Architect, System Software Engineer, or in automotive embedded software development using C.
• Experience with analytic methods (8D), CMMI, A‑SPICE, and system overview including hardware and sensors.
• Familiarity with AB‑ECU, DOORS, ALM‑CCM/CQ, SCM/MKS, Rhapsody/AMEOS, and QAC tools.

Required skills

• C programming language, compiler, linker, debugger.
• Microcontroller development for automotive applications.
• AB‑ECU, DOORS requirement management, ALM‑CCM/CQ change management, SCM/MKS configuration management.
• Rhapsody/AMEOS design tools and QAC quality analysis.
• Analytic methods (8D), CMMI, A‑SPICE processes.
