Senior Software Engineer – hx Renew / Pricing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology team focused on modern insurance pricing solutions. You will work on Hyperexponential’s hx Renew platform, help migrate away from legacy rating systems, and influence the technical direction of our pricing suite.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy high‑quality software for the hx Renew pricing platform.
• Support and enhance existing pricing functionality while assisting migration from legacy rating systems.
• Collaborate with business users and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Lead technical discussions across multiple development teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex production issues.
• Contribute to software architecture, engineering standards and best practices.
• Monitor application health and implement performance improvements.
• Research emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Hyperexponential hx Renew or comparable insurance pricing, rating, underwriting or actuarial platforms.
• Strong background in Python development, preferably within insurance pricing contexts.
• Ability to work in an Agile delivery environment and communicate effectively with both technical and business teams.
• Senior‑level expertise with a track record of delivering large‑scale transformation projects.
