Senior Software Engineer II – Java

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver high‑quality, scalable software solutions using modern Java technologies and cloud‑native practices. You will work closely with Product, UX, QA, and engineering teams to build robust applications, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to architectural decisions. This role offers the opportunity to leverage modern development tools, including AI‑assisted technologies, while mentoring other engineers and continuously improving engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable, high‑performance Java‑based applications aligned with business objectives.
• Build and enhance application features to support evolving product and customer needs.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and technical stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and services for seamless system integration.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews, best‑practice adherence, and design‑pattern usage.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in object‑oriented design, development, and standard design patterns.
• Expert‑level experience with Java, Spring Boot and Web Services.
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, micro‑services and SOA.
• Proficiency with front‑end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular and/or ReactJS.
• Ability to explain design decisions and trade‑offs, and provide technical leadership.
• Experience with SQL, including query writing and stored procedures.
