Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of architecture and build high-quality software that interfaces with real-world industrial hardware. The role is hybrid, based in Taunton, and involves working on both modern micro-service platforms and legacy WPF applications used in automated electrical test environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain desktop (WPF) and web applications using C# and Vue.js.
• Lead software architecture decisions to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to micro-service and Azure-based modernization initiatives.
• Maintain and evolve legacy systems while planning future development.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems and test engineers in an agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
• Proven ability to influence architectural direction.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
