About the role

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and test backend micro‑services and RESTful APIs supporting loan and affordability calculations.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering leads and other developers to deliver high‑quality software.
• Maintain and improve existing services, ensuring robust, well‑tested code and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Contribute to the engineering transformation strategy and help drive iterative, market‑focused change.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering high‑quality, well‑tested backend code in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong judgement in selecting tools, libraries and languages to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for coaching others and sharing knowledge.
