Senior Software Engineer – Margin Technology (AVP)

About the role
As a member of Citi's global technology team, you will help transform the margin and collateral domains within Markets Technology. You will work closely with product teams and end‑users to design, develop, and deliver high‑quality software solutions that address complex business challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java‑based services and React front‑ends.
- Build and expose RESTful APIs using Spring frameworks.
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and users throughout the software lifecycle.
- Apply test‑driven development (TDD) and clean‑code practices.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Professional software development experience with Java, React and/or Python.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and SQL.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
