Senior Software Engineer – .NET & Azure

About the role

Join a purpose‑led organisation undergoing a major digital transformation. As a Senior Software Engineer you will lead the design, development and delivery of complex .NET and Azure applications, working in a collaborative, inclusive team based in Newcastle city centre with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop complex software applications, integrations and data platforms using .NET and Microsoft technologies.
• Lead delivery of Azure‑based integrations that securely share data across multiple systems.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and create reliable interfaces between applications.
• Produce proof‑of‑concept solutions and rapid prototypes to validate requirements.
• Review code, designs and technical deliverables from colleagues and promote test‑driven development.
• Maintain technical documentation, solution designs and deployment information.

Required profile

• Extensive .NET development experience with the Microsoft .NET Framework.
• Significant experience designing and building complex software applications and Azure integrations.
• Strong understanding of software security, scalability, resilience and performance.
• Proven ability to provide technical guidance and coaching to development teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaborative working skills.
