Senior Software Engineer – Research Technology

About the role

Wellington Management is expanding its Research Technology team within Investment Technology. As a Senior Software Engineer you will help design, build and evolve a world‑class platform that supports investment research and collaboration for institutional clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment and ongoing support of high‑quality research solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers and other developers to translate business requirements into functional software.
• Develop new prototypes and full‑stack components across services, web and mobile clients, infrastructure and back‑end systems.
• Work across multiple IT teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of research capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a software engineer delivering complex, data‑driven applications.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve challenging technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and business stakeholders.
