Senior Software Engineer (Robotics & Technology)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a leading robotics and technology company in Cambridge. This full‑time permanent role offers hybrid working and may involve occasional international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and testing of software applications.
• Oversee testing, debugging and code verification before production release.
• Create technical documentation and report progress to internal stakeholders.
• Participate across the full system development lifecycle.
• Conduct field testing when required.
• Collaborate closely with wider engineering teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science (BSc/BEng/HND) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with C++, ROS and ROS2.
• Strong understanding of Linux environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Git version control.
• Solid hardware experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
