Senior Solution Architect – API Lab (Hybrid, Edinburgh)

About the role

The Senior Solution Architect will lead the design of complex solution architectures for the API Lab, ensuring they align with Lloyds Banking Group’s technology strategy and deliver key business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Orchestrate and define solution architectures for strategic API products and platforms.
• Shape the forward‑looking architecture for the API Lab and partner with Product Owners, engineering teams and Enterprise Architects.
• Enable delivery teams to work at pace by providing clear architectural guidance.
• Oversee the architecture of API Gateway, API Marketplace, API Conformance Suite and API Enablement Platform.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in solution and enterprise architecture, preferably within API ecosystems.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional product and engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms and modern engineering practices.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, spending at least two days per week on‑site.
