Senior Solution Architect

About the role

The Senior Solution Architect will join Ericsson’s solution delivery team to lead design and implementation of end‑to‑end cloud‑based telecom solutions for Tier‑1 operators in the UK. Acting as the main technical liaison for internal and external partners, you will shape solution architecture, guide engineers and drive troubleshooting during deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a complete understanding of end‑to‑end deployed cloud solutions for customers.
• Lead multi‑domain virtual teams and collaborate across competence centres, global support and product line teams.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders during escalations.
• Work closely with the Test Manager on test definition, execution and reporting.
• Support automation initiatives and drive continuous improvement in integration tasks.
• Collaborate with other Solution Architects on integration design and planning.
• Mentor and guide new team members.
• Act as Investigation Leader for troubleshooting and fault isolation during solution deployment.
• Identify business leads, promote products and services, and recognise risks and sales opportunities.
• Own end‑to‑end solution responsibilities for presales engagements, defining target architecture, software and service requirements.

Required profile

• Academic degree (minimum bachelor) in Engineering – IT or Telecom.
• 10‑12 years of experience in system integration and testing within telecom networks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer relationship management abilities.
• Proven capability to deliver results under pressure.
• Responsive, go‑getter mentality with a growth mindset.

Required skills

• E2E telecom network architecture (cloud, IP networking, CORE networks, OSS applications).
• Solution design for 4G and 5G services.
• Capacity dimensioning and optimisation.
• Telecom network integration and troubleshooting.
• Automation and CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Packet CORE, VOICE CORE and UDM network applications.
• RFQ response preparation, SOCing and proposal building.
