Senior Sous Chef

About the role

Grantley Hall, a five‑star historic hotel in North Yorkshire, is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences across its multiple dining outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen briefings and coordinate service across all sections.
• Support the Head Chef in developing seasonal, tasting and new concept menus.
• Manage the brigade to ensure smooth, safe and efficient kitchen operations.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, health and safety and company policies through audits and training.
• Oversee ordering, stock control, menu planning and kitchen cleanliness.
• Monitor guest and team feedback and keep the Head Chef informed.

Required profile

• Proven track record of managing multi‑outlet kitchens in a luxury setting.
• Passion for food and for inspiring and developing a well‑established team.
• Enthusiasm for learning, innovation and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive under the pressure of a high‑end kitchen environment.
• Experience supervising and guiding kitchen staff.
