About the role

Citi is looking for a Senior Staff Generative AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of production‑grade AI solutions. This individual contributor role focuses on building scalable, high‑impact systems that leverage large language models and agentic frameworks to drive operational efficiency across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement end‑to‑end Generative AI applications in a commercial production environment.
• Develop and maintain containerised services, primarily using OpenShift.
• Design intelligent agents that automate complex business workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing technology stacks.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in clean, performant code.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a hands‑on software engineer with a focus on AI/ML.
• Deep knowledge of large language models and agentic architectures.
• Proven ability to deliver production‑ready systems at scale.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and passion for cutting‑edge technology.
