Senior Structural Engineer – Bristol

About the role

We are partnering with an independent structural engineering consultancy in Bristol that delivers contemporary, architecturally‑led buildings. The Senior Structural Engineer will play a pivotal part in the firm’s succession plan, leading project delivery and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural projects from concept and feasibility through to construction completion.
• Manage overall project delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and architects to coordinate design and construction.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Eurocodes and UK standards.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting their professional growth.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in civil, structural or architectural engineering.
• Chartered status or on route to chartered.
• Experience in a design environment focused on building structures.
• Strong understanding of building regulations and design codes.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with a genuine interest in supporting others.
