Senior Structural Technician

About the role
Robert Bird Group is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join its London structural engineering team. You will lead the creation and coordination of high‑quality structural drawings and BIM models while supporting Revit standards and mentoring junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the production of structural engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Create and maintain BIM models for commercial, mixed‑use and data‑centre projects.
- Support and enforce Revit standards across the team.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project leaders to ensure design quality and constructability.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a structural technician or similar role at a senior level.
- Strong understanding of structural drawing production and BIM processes.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead technical delivery.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
