Senior Supervising Social Worker – Foster Care

About the role

Fostering People is seeking a Senior / Supervising Social Worker to join its dynamic team. You will work primarily with foster parent households across Merseyside and the wider North West, ensuring high‑quality placements for looked‑after children.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, assess and support a range of foster parents.
• Provide supervision and guidance to foster families, maintaining robust and fair assessment processes.
• Collaborate closely with agencies, professionals and internal managers to deliver excellent care.
• Monitor and improve placement outcomes for children in care.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a social worker, preferably within fostering or child protection.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and develop foster parent teams.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, assessment frameworks and regulatory standards.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and high‑quality service delivery.
