Senior Support Worker – Adult Social Care

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team in West Sussex. You will provide person‑centred care to adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, while leading shifts and mentoring colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shift teams to ensure high standards of care.
• Deliver person‑centred support that promotes independence and choice.
• Encourage development of life‑skills and personal goals for service users.
• Apply positive behaviour support approaches across the service.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering skill development and confidence.
• Support operational decisions and contribute to quality assurance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in adult social care, preferably with learning disabilities or autism.
• Demonstrated leadership or senior support experience.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and occasional sleep‑in duties.
• Commitment to person‑centred practice and equality, diversity and inclusion.
