Senior Support Worker – Learning Disabilities (Evesham)

About the role

We are seeking a caring and resilient Senior Support Worker to join our team at Ash Grove in Evesham. You will help people with learning disabilities live fulfilling lives by providing high‑quality, person‑centred support and promoting independence.

Key responsibilities

• Deputise for the Service Manager when required.
• Support the day‑to‑day operation of the service, ensuring compliance with health and social care regulations.
• Act as a positive role model for colleagues on shift.
• Build strong relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.
• Assist customers in achieving their goals and accessing meaningful activities.
• Organise events, activities and community outings.
• Maintain accurate records, support audits and quality‑assurance processes.
• Contribute to staff training, supervision and development.

Required profile

• At least two years’ experience in the care sector (preferred).
• Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities (desirable).
• Experience in a senior, team‑leader or supervisory role (advantageous).
• Caring, compassionate and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
