Senior Support Worker – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead the night shift at Limewood Care Home in Stafford. You will provide high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents with complex physical and mental health needs, ensuring a safe and calm environment throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the night shift, directing and supporting the care team.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with care plans.
• Respond promptly to incidents, changing needs or concerns, maintaining a calm atmosphere.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records and documentation.
• Facilitate effective communication between staff, residents and external professionals.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Medication training and competency in administration.
• Proven experience supporting or leading within a care environment.
• Strong leadership, organisational and resilience skills.
• Compassionate, reliable and calm approach with good teamwork abilities.
